Management Council

The professional core leadership of IEEE is led by Sophie Muirhead, IEEE Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Sophie presides over the Management Council, which is comprised of herself and 13 senior executives who collectively manage all aspects of IEEE staff operations.

The executive team oversees more than 1,000 full-time, part-time, and temporary employees dedicated to supporting IEEE initiatives.
