Offer Microcredentials to Your Learners With IEEE
IEEE is the world’s largest not-for-profit technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for humanity. IEEE works with technical education and training providers, along with academic institutions offering workforce development programs, to offer IEEE-branded stackable microcredentials to certify mastery of technical skills.
As a leading provider of professional credentials for over 30 years, IEEE is a trusted partner in helping organizations provide recognizable microcredentials that can help individuals find additional opportunities in STEM careers. This established program makes it easy to offer the professional credentials learners need to get ahead.

Globally Recognized
IEEE is a trusted name in technical innovation around the world. Credentials from IEEE are recognized by employers hiring for STEM careers.

Customized
IEEE designers work with training partners to design microcredentials that meet branding guidelines. Each digital badge links to more information about the skills demonstrated and the training provided.

Turn-Key
Once approved, it’s easy for training providers to offer IEEE microcredentials. Training providers receive templates and an easy process to supply the information needed to issue the credentials. IEEE issues the credentials for training providers, maintains them in a digital wallet for each learner, and handles any customer questions.
Case Study: USC Cleanroom Technician Microcredentials
IEEE partnered with the University of Southern California, as part of the California D.R.E.A.M.S. Microelectronics Hub funded by the US Department of Defense, to create stackable, skills-based microcredentials for their semiconductor cleanroom technician training program. IEEE worked with USC to create standardized assessments and the microcredentials issued to those that pass those assessments. These microcredentials help people without 4-year degrees apply for work in the semiconductor industry as cleanroom technicians.
What is a Microcredential?
Microcredentials certify mastery of specific skills in a learning program. They are stackable, illustrating a growing skillset in an area. Additionally, these credentials are verifiable and sharable, showing employers the skills that learners have acquired through various learning programs.
